Plus Equals
John Stevens and the Spontaneous Music Orchestra

This reissue features what is perhaps the pinnacle of John Stevens' attempts to make music with a large improvising ensemble.  Featuring two extended works, the disc is a wonderful window into Stevens' aesthetic world of the early 1970s.  Comes highly recommended.

"Plus Equals contains great, challenging large-scale free improvisation.  Recommended" -- François Couture, All Music Guide

"All in all, this is a fine reissue." -- Jason Blevins

Total time 60:46 minutes -- 1 track previously issued as an LP in 1975
