Line 13::: The Shadowgraph Series:
Compositions for Creative Orchetra This recording marks the return of George Lewis to the recording studio as leader after a long hiatus. Performing here as both the conductor and trombonist, this recording offers the listener the opportunity to revisit some of Lewis' best music of the 1970's...much of it originally written for the AACM Big Band and AACM's Experimental Band...with one of the finest big bands working today, the 15-piece improvising ensemble, NOW Orchestra. This disc comes with our highest recommendation. Total time: 63:54 minutes. :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: WOWOW (NOW Orchestra) ATLAS (Territory Band - 2) Plus Equals (Spontaneous Music Orchestra) European Echoes (Manfred Schoof Orchestra) Freedom of the City 2001, Large Groups Alan Silva and the Sound Visions Orchestra Emancipation Proclamation #1 (Jordan, Parker, Silva) Sunrise In the Tone World (Little Huey and the Creative Music Orchestra) Banana (Luther Thomas Human Arts Ensemble) Spirit House (Moondoc's Jus Grew Orchestra) GO: Organic Orchestra 1 (Rudolph's large ensemble) No Stars Please (Trummerflora) Embracing the Void (Tsahar and the Zoanthropic Orchestra) Freedom & Unity (Clifford Thornton New Arts Ensemble) |
