F.I. Quartet
Live at Free Music XXVII Antwerp, 2000
   Herb Robertson (trumpet, flutes)
Luc Houtkamp (tenor and alto saxophones)
   Fred Van Hove (piano, accordian)
   Ivo Vander Borght (drums)

From four veterans captured live in Antwerp.  The recording quality is excellent only surpassed by the quality of the music.  Open, swinging, singing, and driving forward in the best tradition of free jazz.  There is a wonderful interplay between Robertson and Houtkamp with Hove working in and around their lines.  Borght who is relatively unknown in this country provides the perfect level of rhythymic intensity, keeping everything continually moving forward.

Comes with our highest recommendation.
