Authenticity, from Kali Records, was recorded
November 9, 1998 and features Joel Futterman on piano, flute, and soprano sax, William
Parker on bass, and Jimmy William on guitar. To paraphrase Dante, abandon all
preconceptions before you enter this music. Giving yourself over to it, listening
deeply and trusting your reflexes --- just as the artists did in its creation --- will
yield rich rewards. Four tracks in 60 minutes of play. Selected tracks: Arrival Authenticity |
