In his first solo release, Matt Weston proves that he deserves to be heard and considered when we think of the new generation of improvising percussionists.  Like all the artists on Sachimay, his music bends genres inside and out to create entirely new forms.

As student of Bill Dixon, Milford Graves, and Arthur Brook in the early 1990s, Weston has since moved on to become a prolific side man working with everyone from William Parker to Ken Vandermark.  This recording is not to be missed as we believe that it is going to mark a turning point for this artist's career.
