This set of four concerti is an epic masterwork by composer/bassist Steuart Liebig.  It features Nels Cline, Mark Dresser, Vinny Golia, and Tom Varner in a concerto setting backed by a crack seven piece ensemble.  If you can, picture what it would sound like if Count Bassie asked Stravinsky to write up some charts... this gives you something of an idea of what you are in for with Pomegranate.

Liebig, a veteran of bands with Les McCann and Julius Hemphill, bridges the gap between creative jazz, contemporary classical music, and skronk-rock in these works.
