With OPTOMETRY, the Blue Series has blown the doors off their mantra of answering the question, "what is jazz?".  This recording is probably one of the most thought provoking works to come through our offices since we began.  You will either love this or hate it...not much in the middle here.

But you only need to look at the lineup to realize that something different is happening here.  Blending and blurring the traditions of convention with a veritable Tower of Bable, DJ Spooky achieves something here that many thought was improbably, at best, and impossible for all the rest.

Spooky has exceeded all expectations here. -- All Music Guide
