Such Thing From Boston based pianist, Pandelis Karayorgis, this recording captures the fire and intensity of his concerts over the past year with McBride and Vandermark. Unlike Pandelis' three earlier cds that featured a number of standard covers, this recording delivers all original music...allowing this veteran group of improvisors to stretch, while developing and resolving their phrases in near unconscious time. This recording comes highly recommended. 9 tracks in 61:03 minutes :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: Burn the Incline (Vandermark 5) The River of Sounds (Bergman, Bauer, Maneri) SS Puft Quartet (Rempis with Puft) Version Soul (Vandermark, Drake, McBride) Four In the Afternoon (Wren, Stabbins, Riley, Sanders) The Present Gift (Futterman, Levin) Expansion Slang (McBride, Newton, Vandermark) Southern Extreme (Futterman, Jordan, Fielder) Passwords (Plimley, Kaiser, DeGruttola) Stable Chaos (Rosco Blur Quartet) |
