Love Outside of Dreams The very last recording of the late legendary bassist Fred Hopkins, Love Outside Dreams may be one of Kahil El'Zabar's finest recordings...reminding one of Air. There is something very immediate and authentic about this recording. Classic Kahil. Imaginative, improvisatory interplay rooted in African-American traditions. Comes highly recommended. 8 tracks in 61:35 minutes If you missed this cd, you might enjoy listening to: If You Believe (Kahil El'Zabar, Billy Bang, Hamiet Bluiett) Spirits Entering (Kahil El'Zabar, Billy Bang) The Eighth House: Riding with Pluto (Wendell Harrison and Juma Santos) Live At the Glenn Miller Cafe (Arthur Doyle, Sonny Murray) St. Louis Blues (Shepp, Davis and Murray) |
