Whit Dickey's third album as leader and his most cohesive effort to date.  Working with long-time collaborators that go back to the powerhouse David S. Ware and Matthew Shipp groups of the mid-90s, on Life Cycle Dickey has found a group that can fully develop his compositional aesthetics.  The compositions on this recording are wide open spaces, uncluttered by static...reflecting Dickey's abiding interest in the ancient essence of life which breathes freely.  Comes highly recommended
