Blue Decco
   Matt Maneri (violin)
   Craig Taborn (piano)
   William Parker (bass)
   Gerald Cleaver (drums)

Maneri's homage to Dolphy, and yes there are places where you can hear this, but for the most part this is vintage Maneri.  Abstract and textural, atmospheric and dreamlike.  The music is accessible without compromise.   As Derek Taylor said, "For those with their ears to the railroad ties of creative improvised music listening intently for signs of the next defining force to hit with the reverberating impact of a Trane, Maneri might just be the source of the distant rumblings they're hearing."

We couldn't agree more and give this disc our highest recommendation.
