Dorgon
Y Su Grupo dorgon and Laura Cromwell Dorgon Y Su Grupo features dorgon on saxophone and clarinet, Laura Cromwell on drums, Ted Reichman on accordion, Curtis Hasselbring on guitar and trombone, and Matt Moran on vibes. "The concept of music is not predicated solely on the subdivision of quarter notes." We couldn't agree with dorgon more here and this CD proves that more eloquently than anything we have heard in a long time. We are continually amazed with the originality of dorgon's conceptualizations. Somewhere between modern classical and anti-jazz, this music beckons down unknown alleys and paths lesser trod. Greatly recommended. Packaging features a real jewel box with the usual collection of odd pieces of paper. 52 minutes on 12 tracks. |
