Transatlantic Bridge
   The Territory Band - 1
   Ken Vandermark (reeds)
   Jim Baker (piano)
   Jeb Bishop (trombone)
   Axel Dörner (trumpet, slide trombone)
   Kent Kessler (bass)
   Fred Lonberg-Holm (cello)
   Paul Lytton (drums)
   Tim Mulvenna (drums)
Dave Rempis (alto and tenor saxophones)

WHEW!!! What a difference a day makes, or should we say a MacArthur grant.  Without a doubt, the strongest work we have heard from Vandermark.  The music absolutely swings.  The arrangements and compositions are tight and the phrasings remain powerful across the entire orchestra.  If you are concerned about the future of jazz, don't be...it is in very good hands in Chicago right now.  Comes with our highest recommendation.
