TEST Tom Bruno (drums) Sabir Mateen (alto and tenor sax, flute, clarinet) Matthew Heyner (bass) Daniel Carter (alto and tenor sax, trumpet, flute) TEST is a collective creative improvising quartet based out of the NYC Underground; figuratively and literally. Since 1992, they have performed on a weekly basis in the streets and subway stations of New York City. Marked by the near constant interweaving of the front-line (as opposed to solo trading between the horns), and a far-ranging textural diversity (due in part to the multiple wind instruments mastered by Daniel and Sabir), TEST presents a collective of forward motion: all for one, cutting pure and true through the presently ruling culture of destruction. :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: White Boy Blues (Tom Bruno) Live At the Glenn Miller Café (Doyle and Murray) We Are Not At The Opera (Mateen and Murray) Divine Mad Love (Mateen, Voigt, Cook) |
