Smooth Romance Smooth Romance from Janet Marlow was released in 1998. This finely polished recording is extremely well produced. Featuring nine original compositions plus a very smooth version of Take 5 with Iola Brubeck's rarely heard lyrics. Janet is backed by an allstar lineup with Chris Brubeck on trombone, Danny Gottlieb on drums and electronic percussion, Pete Levin on synthesizer and acoustic piano, Mark Egan on bass, and Alan Brennan on violin. For someone who has studied with Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, Leo Brouwer, and Narciso Yepes, Janet Marlow has an uncanny ability to take the tradition and make it groove...and hey, she has a very smooth sensual voice to complete the package. What more is there to say. 10 tracks in 51 minutes If you like this cd, we think you might also enjoy listening to Janet Marlow on these excellent recordings: |
