Papasoff Self-titled debut recording from one of the leading new baritone players in free jazz today. A gritty improvisor, and excellent arranger, Papasoff is writing and performing music for the baritone that is completely redefining its place in jazz. His solo on "Ti-Paul" is worth the cover charge alone. "In the open spaces of baritone country, here is one man capable of covering all terrains at will!" -- Marc Chénard, from the liner notes This disc comes highly recommended. "Papasoff is one of the top baritonists around." -- Scott Yanow "The most impressive Canadian baritone player...wild and wonderful." -- Mark Miller 7 tracks in 49:06 minutes :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, we think you might also enjoy listening to: Spirit House (Moondoc's Jus Grew Orchestra) Looking East (Raphe Malik Quartet) Polish Theater Posters (Andrew Drury Octet) Hollow World (Assif Tsahar's big band) Wowow (NOW Orchestra) |
