Festival orchestras are nothing new, but this recording captured by GOWI Records featured one that really had a unique character (just check the lineup) and was right on form this night on October 25, 1992.  Loosly based on Murray's Baltic Suite, this 72-minute recording, allows plenty of space for the soloists to stretch.

This is absolutely a must-have recording of the large orchestra genre...increasingly a dying species...with some outstanding solos.

Comes highly recommended.
