Freedom of the City 2002, Small Groups Organized by Evan Parker and Martin Davidson, this double cd features the best of the 2002 festival's small working groups. As Martin describes it, "Perhaps the musical strength of the London improvising scene is due to what Fred Firth has called 'virtuoso listening' or the abilitly to instantly respond ot the other members of the group in such a way that the end result is an entity rather than a motley collection of somewhat unrelated individuals." This double cd comes highly recommended for a two plus hour window on one of the richest improv scenes in the world today. Total time 149:32 minutes -- previously unissued :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: Freedom of the City 2001, Small Groups Madly You (Lazro, Zingaor, Léandre, Lovens) Contest of Pleasures (Butcher, Charles, Dörner) Transitions (Hug, Kraabel, Nicols) White Fog (Sylvia Hallett) Dearness (Firth, Bourne, Oswald) Three October Meetings (Fuchs, Bryerton, Smith) The First Two Gigs (Butcher, Burn, Davies, Edwards) Four In the Afternoon (Stabbins, Riley, Wren, Sanders) La Pièce (Xavier Charles and Kristoff K.
