For
Adolphe Sax At last, the long out of print debut Brötzmann recording...an auspicious debut of free music with a tribute to the saxophone inventor. Originally released in 1967 on Brotzmann's tiny privately run BRO label, this recording was later released on FMP as one of its first releases. Now, the original tapes have been digitally remastered with a bonus never-released studio session with van Hove. Comes with our highest recommendation. The booklet photos alone are worth the price. 4 tracks in 50:22 minutes If you missed this cd, you might enjoy listening to: Unlawful Noise (Haazz & Company) Balls (Brötzmann, Bennink, Van Hove) Hunting the Snake (Schlippenbach, Parker, Kowald, Lovens) Live At Nefertiti (Brötzmann, Nielsen, Uuskyla) From Valley to Valley (Brötzmann's Die Like A Dog Quartet) Fryed Fruit (Brötzmann, Yudanov, Luoma) Nipples (Brötzmann's Sextet) Schlingerland (Sven-Ĺke Johansson) Dried Rat-Dog (Brötzmann and Drake) |
