The Difference Between A Fish CD Cover

The Difference Between A Fish
   Michel Doneda (soprano saxophone)
Urs Leimgruber (tenor and soprano saxophone)
   Keith Rowe (guitar)

Two extended tracks recorded "off the beaten track" as this trio gamely traveled around Europe preaching the gospel of "vibrating air" in 2001 and 2002.  The two horn players are constantly extending their techniques in response to Rowe's proposals.  Their music is an entirely different way of thinking about tonal structures, improvisation, interaction.   Or, as Doneda says, "playing beyond intention."

The subtleties and sonorities in this music preclude putting up any meaningful clips...should only be listened to with a really good system.  Comes with our highest recommendation.

2 tracks in 53:38 minutes.   More Potlatch
