More On Joe Giardullo

Art Spirit
Joe Giardullo (alto & soprano saxophones,
                            flute, bass clarinet)
   Sangeeta Michael Berardi (guitar)

Every now and then a recording drops from the sky that changes the way you think about music.  This is one of those recordings.  Giardullo and Berardi (in his first recording that we know of since 1979's Divine Song date with Roswell Rudd, Archie Shepp, Eddie Gomez, Rashied Ali, and Mario Pavone....how's that for being under documented) have crafted a holistic sonic experience here that falls somewhere between Debussy and unknown places in the future via Dolphy.  Listen to the clips here and decide for yourself.  As for us, this one is going home.

Comes with our highest recommendation!  If you need one more cd to complete 2002 or a way to start the new year....any year.....this is the disc, hands down!
