sFz Records
From Erik Lindgren and Ken Field of Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, sFz Records is devoted delivering creative new music to a wider listening audience. The label's early focus is on releases with ties to members of the modern music ensemble Birdsongs of the Mesozoic,  Future releases will focus on music that alters the traditionally perceived see-saw balance between creativity and accessibility. In keeping with the 20-year tradition of Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, all sFz recordings feature music that is contemporary, substantive, and serious, but also relevant, interesting, and appealing to a broader listening public.

The name sFz is an abbreviation for the Italian musical term sforzando which Webster's New World College Dictionary defines as "musical direction with sudden force or emphasis." This description succinctly describes the energetic focus of this new label.
