"Avant-Shamanic Trance Jazz"

From that hot bed of creative free improvisation, Berkeley California, micro label started by pioneering free improvisationalist, Henry Kuntz.  We are extremely pleased to bring you the only two cd recordings available from this seminal free improvisational label.   The two currently available cd recordings represent Henry's return to the tenor saxophone after a 15-year hiatus along with his explorations into the possibilities of improvised electro-acoustics.  These recordings are must-have documentaries of one of America's leading free improvisationalist.

"Spiritually speaking, improvisation is to me...akin to a form of shamanic art.  Clarity of mind, psychic freshness, pleasure in playing: these are the core of true creation.  These are the qualities I have sought to keep constant in all of my music?" --- Henry Kuntz
