Joel Futterman-Kidd Jordan Trio with Alvin
Fielder
The Joel Futterman-Kidd Jordan Trio with Alvin Fielder is
truly one of those remarkable musical collaborations that comes along very rarely.
From completely different backgrounds and musical experiences, each of these musicians has
found a kindred spirit and aesthetic in one another that is both uplifting to the spirit
and a feast for the ears.
Prior to their release for Drimala Records, the group had two recordings:
one on Silkheart Records which also featured Matts Gustafsson, the great Swedish new music
horn player, and renowned British bassist, Barry Guy, and one on the German label, Konnex,
which featured the trio along with Kidd's nephew, Elton Heron, on bass.
